Dunedain: Oh, shut up. L: That's a yes, I suppose.
D: Let's start with your name, Lea. What does it mean? Where does it come from? L: You aren't being subtle in the least. You just want me to tell everyone that IT'S PRONOUNCED LEE. Not Leah, even though Leah is a nice name.
D: I mean, no one does get the pronunciation right. L: Nope, but it doesn't really affect me, though, because I'm very non-existent in lists of names.
D: ...What? L: No one has papers that I exist. Well, I guess Hogwarts does now, but no one else. Benefit of being born a pirate, if you ask me.
D: Tell me about 'being born a pirate,' if you will. L: It's salty.
D: Metaphorically or literally? L: Both. *awkward silence* Okay, I'll expand. The ocean is made of water. In many places the water is cold. (D: ???) Where I grew up, in the Caribbean, the water is warm. The only bad thing about oceans is that you can't drink them, because the water is full of salt. The salt flicks up into the air when you're sailing through it, and it makes everything - clothes and stuff - stiff and annoying. Pirates are also famous for being rough around the edges, but I didn't die.
D: Was death likely? L: Average career length for a pirate is two years. So, yeah, making it through fifteen full years of life is impressive.
D: What happened when you were sixteen, then? L: Well, nothing really happened, but I wanted to get off the boat and explore the world some.
D: How did your family take that? L: The weird thing about you asking these questions is that you know all this stuff already. But anyway, my mum died when I was ten days old, and my brothers went with me on my adventures. Dad didn't really mind as long as I had them to protect me. Not that I needed it.
D: You're not much of a "damsel in distress," then? L: I killed my first man at 14. This damsel is deadly. Actually, I'm not very damsel-like at all.
Lea's Appearance
Lea has brown eyes, a thin and wiry frame, is slightly short (5'2"), and her hair is shoulder-length dirty blonde (the picture at the top of this page is a pretty great representation of Lea in general, but especially the hair). Her mouth is a little too big for her face, and her nose is mischievous.
